Phobias or unconscious fears are wrong mental processes that our mind develops based on a past traumatic experience.

Faced with the exposure, or by the mere thought of the phobic stimulus, often there is:
- Extreme fear;
- Symptoms of anxiety;
- Incapacity to be in the presence of the aggressor stimulus;
- Disgust, repulse;
- Irrational need to escape.
