How does HBM understand the human behaviour?

"A revolution in the way of understanding the mind!"

The Human Being as a single system is divided into two parts: body and mind. The Mind is a set of processes that define how we process life experiences, as we understand ourselves, how we behave, which allow us to be who we are, do what we do, feel what we feel and think what we think.

There are some mental processes of which we are aware of, for example, we know why we feel hungry, we know why we are afraid of dangerous animals, why we act in a certain way at work. These mental processes are commonly known by conscious mind. However, we do not have awareness of a great part of our mental processes, we do not understand why we think in a certain way, why we feel what we feel or why we act as we do. These "hidden" mental processes are part of our unconscious mind.

The Mind Map (HBM - Human Behaviour Map) was developed by the MASTER HBM RESEARCH. This map describes the conscious and unconscious mental processes of the human mind. Knowing these processes allow us to understand the human behaviour, as well as to build effective therapies to the resolution of people’s emotional conflicts.

Basic principle of the human behaviour

«The mind has as its primary mission: To push us away from pain and to bring us close to pleasure»

Our mental processes operate according to this basic principle, pushing us away from all painful and uncomfortable experiences and bringing us closer to the pleasurable and comfortable experiences. This process of approximation of pleasure and withdrawing of pain is accomplished through the analysis of our personality.

«Everything we think, how we behave and how we feel, all this is the reflection of our personality »

Personality is the set of all that we value (values), all that we believe in (beliefs), and the experiences (emotions) we live throughout our life, reflecting our way of being, feeling and thinking. Personality can be represented as a pyramid in which at the top are our values, our beliefs occupy the central position and at the base are our experiences. Therefore, personality represents everything we value, everything we believe in and the set of all that we feel from the experiences we live throughout life. In fact, the interpretation of the personality must be done from the base to the top, where all our experiences shape our beliefs, because we only believe in the evidences, in the experiences we live. In turn, our beliefs form our values, because we only value what we believe to be the most important to us. Thus, our past determines our way of thinking, feeling and acting. So, our mind organizes itself and finds its internal and external balance. "We" are the product of the experiences we lived in the past!

What about when we feel internal or external imbalance?

Emotional imbalances happen when we would like to think in a certain way, but do not think so; when we would like to behave in a way, but we do not; and when we would like to feel sensations that we cannot feel. These emotional imbalances are caused by the experiences which we preferred not to have lived – traumatic experiences – that create in us wrong beliefs and values that place us in a state of incongruence creating these conflicts.

This imbalance occurs between our conscious mind (what I want to be) and the unconscious mind (what I am). This imbalance generates depression, anxiety, panic attacks, obsessions, as well as other emotional and mental disorders.

How to restore this balance?

In fact, what we experience alone does not disturb us. What disturb and condition us are the emotions, what we feel from past experiences, of which at present we are still associated to. So, the only way to find our emotional balance is to distance us, to dissociate from all the negative emotions we feel from these disturbing situations. Thus, HBM Therapy® uses two main techniques, Morfese® and Athenese® which contribute to the dissociation of these emotions, so the person can find his/her balance.
